NFL First Round Mock Draft

 

This is my latest update of my first round mock draft, this time with 32 teams. These picks were made based off need, fit, and best available. I have the Raiders trading up for Shedeur Sanders at 3 with the Giants, sending 2 first round picks, a 3rd, and a 5th, for the Giants number 3 pick. Let me know your thoughts!

NFL Championship Weekend Predictions

Bills @ Chiefs

KC -1.5 O/U 47.5

My pick: Bills 31-28

Fey of the Day: James Cook O 54.5 rush yds.

The Bills have not been able to get around the Chiefs for the last 4 years, but this time I think they can do it. They bested the top rushing duo in the league (thanks to a costly drop) and they have been playing near flawless football. You can never count out the Chiefs, but something feels off this year, they just simply haven't looked dominant. The Bills finally get over that hump and win on a last second field goal. (Chiefs allow 88.4 rush yards per game, look for James Cook and Josh Allen to hit their overs.)

Commanders @ Eagles

PHI -6 O/U 47.5

My Pick: Eagles 35-30

Fey of the Day: Jalen Hurts over 32.5 rushing yds.

With a split 1-1 series this year, this game is up for grabs between division rivals. The Commanders have surprised me each week, looking better and better as the playoffs have gone on, but the Eagles have looked flat out unstoppable. They are clicking on all cylinders. Their rushing game is a two headed beast, and their defense has been an unmovable object. Not to say they don't look beatable. The Commanders could win this game, they would have to play near perfect, but with Jayden Daniels, that wouldn't surprise me. This kid will be special for years to come, but I think they fall short this year, and Philly wins a close battle at home. (Jalen Hurts has hit the over on his rush yards the last 9/10 games, look to put big units on this line)

NFL Wild Card Playoff Predictions.

 Chargers at Texans (Saturday)

LAC -3 O/U 42.5

My Pick: Chargers 24-17

Fey of the Day: CJ Stroud under 231.5 passing yards.

The Chargers have played hard nosed football all year. They are top 10 in passing yards allowed, and interceptions. With the Texans losing two major receivers, and allowing the 3rd most sacks in the league, I see this being a defensive minded game, with LA coming out on top.

Steelers at Ravens (Saturday)

BAL -9.5 O/U 43.5

My Pick: Ravens 31-14

Fey of the Day: Russell Wilson over 0.5 INT

After beating the Ravens in a defensive masterclass earlier this year, the Steelers took a bit of a step back, dropping 4 of their last 7, with 3 being double digit losses to playoff teams. The Ravens have played their best football as of late, and Lamar is so close to his 3rd MVP. I believe this is the year the Ravens get over the hump, and it starts with a rout of Pittsburgh on Saturday.

 

Broncos at Bills

BUF -8.5 O/U 47.5

My Pick: Bills 17-10

Fey of the Day: Broncos + 8.5

The Broncos have been surprising, and it's hard not to root for Bo Nix. While I believe this will be closer than some think (hence my game pick), it's hard to bet against Josh Allen right now. He has lifted this Bills team to another level, and I don't think it stops here. The Broncos and DPOY Pat Surtain will put up a great fight, and the game will be low scoring, but will ultimately fall short.

Packers at Eagles

PHI -5.5 O/U 45.5

My Pick: Eagles 28-20

Fey of the Day: Saquon Barkley over 103.5 rushing yards.

This is by far going to be the best game of the wild card round. From OPOY Saquon Barkley, to the Eagles star studded defense, the Packers young hungry team, and of course what Green Bay did to their NFC East opponent in the playoffs last year. This game has all the makings of a classic. With Christian Watson going down, the Packers are thin against a great secondary. The Eagles beat the Packers earlier this year with their strong run game, and I see them taking the same route this weekend. Don't be surprised if Barkley or Hurts has multiple touchdowns on the ground. 

Commanders at Buccaneers

TB -3 O/U 50.5

My Pick: Commanders 28-24

Fey of the Day: Jayden Daniels over 49.5 rushing yards (and sprinkle any time touchdown)

Daniels went for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first career NFL game, which happened to be against Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers have been on and off this year, losing some bad games and winning some good ones. I truly think the Commanders get it done, I do, and it will be in large part thanks to Jayden Daniels and his legs. Baker Mayfield will do everything he can, but I think ultimately the Bucs run out of gas a bit too early. 

Vikings vs. Rams (Monday)

MIN -2.5 O/U 47.5

My Pick: Vikings 17-14

Fey of the Day: Matthew Stafford over 0.5 INT.

The Vikings have been a pleasant surprise. Darnold has completely reshaped his career under the amazing coaching of Kevin O’Connell, and their defense has forced a whopping 1.4 turnovers a game. I fully expect this to be low scoring, and although McVay and Stafford have been here before, I just don't see the Vikings losing this game. They want a rematch with the Lions and they very well may get it.

2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

This is my first version of my NFL mock draft with the now set draft order. I only did picks 1-18 for teams that missed the playoffs. Each player was drafted based of fit, need, and talent. After a few hours of film, I was finally able to put this together. Hope you enjoy!

1. Tennessee Titans: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

While I do believe Deion would prevent a team from drafting Sheduer, I think that being the number 1 pick is more important to the Sanders family. Sheduer is above average athletically, but presents great accuracy, decision making, and a decently strong arm. He would make an immediate impact as a leader from Day 1, and after 2 years at Colorado, he has proven he can play with an inconsistent offense around him. The Titans move on from Will Levis after a disastrous season and begin a new era.

2. Cleveland Browns: Cameron Ward, QB Miami.

It seems unlikely the Browns want to stick with Deshuan Watson and inevitably a journeyman backup when Watson disappoints. The Browns have a better roster than their record displays, with some solid young pieces, and I can see this being a great spot for a rookie QB. Cam Ward possesses a high level of poise and maturity for a 22 year old with 3 years of FBS experience. He will immediately make an impact with his cannon arm, and on point accuracy, and the Browns can hopefully continue with the roster they have, not blow the whole thing up.

3. New York Giants, Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Arguably the best player in this draft class, Travis Hunter has intangibles unlike anyone I've seen. He has great movement in coverage and a terrific change of direction/break. He possesses a great feel for the game on offense to go along with great hands. Whether or not he will play both in the NFL, he fits two positions of need for the Giants. He serves as a replacement for veterans Darius Slayton and Adoree Jackson, or potentially both. 

4. New England Patriots: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona. 

A freak of nature, McMillan posts tight end size at 6’5 212 lbs. He clocked a ridiculous 20 mph at his top speed. With the Patriots missing on a lot of their WR draft picks the last few years, McMillan is a sure fire X to help Drake Maye in any way possible. Whether it's jump balls, slants, go routes, McMillan can do it all. He will come in day 1 and boost Drake Mayes production from the jump. 

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

While it may not show up in the stats, Graham excels in run defense and putting pressure on the quarterback. He has an extremely quick twitch for a guy who weighs 320 pounds, and has excellent use of his hands and false step. The Jaguars need a guy who can put pressure directly down the middle, and with Josh Hines-Allen and Arik Armsted on the outsides, along with Travon Walker, Mason Graham slots perfectly in the middle of a relatively strong defensive line.

6. Atlanta Falcons: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

I have the Falcons trading up here, with two quarterbacks off the board, I don't see the Raiders buying high on a Milroe or Ewers. The Falcons, while a talented team, were absolutely abysmal in the pass rush department. The Falcons ranked 28th and 25th respectively in pass rush and run stop win rate. They trade up here to get potentially the best defensive player in the draft. Carter is elite at getting around the edge, with a quick twitch and great first step, he also excels at getting off blocks on run plays. To sum it up, there isn't a lot that he can't do. He possesses freakishly long arms and has a body made to make him successful in the NFL. 

7. New York Jets: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

At 20 years old, Williams is another freak of nature in this draft class. He has ridiculous length, size, and feel for the game. His burst is questionable sometimes, but he possesses everything you want in an NFL edge rusher: Speed, Length, Size, and Fluidity. He's one of the youngest players in this draft class, and with a Jets team that tried the “sign washed up veterans” plan, Williams is a great young piece for a team that desperately needs to blow it up and hire a competent young coach. He will slot nicely next to Will McDonald and Quinnen Williams, and should make an impact from Day 1. Once he reaches his potential however, it will be scary.

8. Carolina Panthers: Will Campell, OT, LSU

At the beginning of the year Will Campell was regarded as the consensus best player in the draft, although still the best offensive lineman, I do have him falling a bit on my board. He doesn't have great measurables for an OT, and some scouts believe he will be better at guard. Either way, after Bryce Young's miraculous breakout campaign, the Panthers need to do everything to protect him. Taylor Moton is more on the older side, and the Panthers could see Campbell fit to replace him in 2025, or he could slide in at left guard next to Icky. Either way, the Panthers get their franchise quarterback some protection

9. New Orleans Saints: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan.

Johnson is the best man-coverage corner in this draft. He’s lengthy, has great size, and has experience at the WR position. He possesses great ball skills and a feel for the game. The Saints traded away all pro Marshon Latimore, and they need to fill the position next to Paulson Adebo. This will start a new age for a team with a lot of aging guys on defense. Johnson may turn out to be the best pure corner in this draft, and he has every skill to do so. 

10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas

Caleb Williams, while subpar for the first overall pick, showed a ton of flashes of creativity and feel for pocket movement. He had to, the offensive line was just that bad. He was the most sacked quarterback in the league and the second most sacked rookie QB ever. The Bears desperately need to protect their franchise quarterback, and while Banks has more of a build to play guard, he excels with his hands and drop step in passing situations. Caleb gets a blindside protector that should immediately revamp this poor offensive line. 

11. San Francisco 49ers: Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

The 49ers have always been known for their tough defense, and Jalon Walker fits the bill. He is a tough football player, an excellent tackler, and excels in many spots across the field. He is uber-athletic, ranking in the 94th percentile of linebackers with a 4.50 unofficial 40 time. He is great getting downhill, but has shown promise in coverage as well. He has a ton of potential and learning alongside the 49ers coaches, and their excellent linebacker core, he has the ability to be special. On the Niners side, they don't necessarily need another linebacker, but in my opinion Walker would be the BPA at this point, and I would even consider him a steal at the 11th pick.

12. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Surprise. Not really. The Cowboys desperately need a running back, while Rico Dowdle is serviceable, there is no passing up on a talent like Jeanty. The Heisman runner up posted ridiculous stats at Boise State. He is a downhill runner with great body control and incredible balance. What impresses me the most about Jeanty is his vision/patience, while able to take hits, he is so good at seemingly stopping in the backfield and finding the gap to burst through. The decisions are split second, and his burst alongside his physicality creates the prototypical perfect running back, and Dallas gets another playmaker they desperately need. 

13. Miami Dolphins: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

With free agency looming, the Dolphins look likely to lose both Jevon Holland and Jordan Poyer. Although both are talented players, the Dolphins may not worry if they end up with Malakii Starks. A swiss army knife on the field, Starks can do virtually anything. He can line up in the box, on the outside, over top, and excels in the blitz game. At 6’1 205, Starks is an excellent tackler, especially going downhill. He is also impressive in coverage, using his athleticism to high point balls and outjump receivers on 50/50 plays. Starks may very well end up being the best defensive player in the draft, and the Dolphins get a good replacement for their pending free agents. 

14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Outside of Jeanty to Dallas, this seems like the most likely pick of the draft. Having a young Qb struggling with accuracy and consistency, the Colts have one option: go get a reliable, athletic, tight end. Warren is dynamic on offense, at 6 '6, he moves like a wide receiver, but has the toughness and fight of a running back. He's not afraid to drop his shoulder for the extra yards, and is constantly looking for contact. He has an extremely high football IQ, and he reads the field well, finding soft spots in coverage and running routes with extreme anticipation. Warren will be a safety blanket for Richardson for years to come.

15. Las Vegas Raiders: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

This was a tough one for me. I can see them taking Milroe at 6, I can see them trading up for 1 or 2 to get Ward or Sanders, I can even see them saying screw a QB and grab the BPA. I think ultimately if the Raiders can trade down and get Milroe, they are making a great decision. Milroe had a down year passing wise, but has flashed a ton of arm and decently good accuracy. He is not a great decision maker, but he makes up for it with the big plays on the ground. Bowers is already the best tight end in the league, so Milroe will have an easy option consistently. The Raiders ownership has been fascinated with the last few big arm, mobile QBs, Richardson, Fields, etc. And who knows? Maybe they just finally go get Fields in F/A, but for now I think Vegas goes for youth and potential with Milroe at 15. 

16. Arizona Cardinals: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

After a down year once again, the Cardinals desperately need an identity. Kyler Murray may be gone, and Arizona may end up mediocre across the board. With Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison on offense, I see the Cardinals and Jonathon Gannon going and getting a hard nosed football player to start building an elite defense. Standing at 6’ 5, 310, Harmon possesses great size, along with outstanding mobility at the defensive tackle position. He's great at getting off blocks using his hands, and has the ability to get into the backfield extremely quickly. He is quicker than most defensive tackles, and possesses a great deal of strength. Jonathon Gannon will love drawing up blitz packages with Harmon in the middle.

17. Cincinnati Bengals: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The Bengals just recently fired Defensive Coordinator Lou Anurumo, after a disastrous 2024 campaign that culminated in them missing the playoffs. Burrow and Chase respectively put up monstrous numbers, and their offense is just fine. While I could see them replacing Higgins (if he leaves) with a guy like Luther Burden, I think the Bengals start rebuilding their defense at 17. Morrision posts great intangibles, and has good size to play inside or outside on defense. He is physical, smart, and has great use of his hands in press and at the high point of the ball. He has performed well against a number of NFL guys, and even held Marvin Harrison to just 3 catches two years ago. Morrison will be a great CB1 for a younger team, and the Bengals get a good weapon for their new defense.

18. Seattle Seahawks: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

Scourton is solid. He is an above average pass rusher, and a good run defender. He struggles sometimes with technique and burst, but overall he is just a very very solid player. He possesses a high level of athleticism however, and it could push him over the top as an NFL player, going from good to great if he can harness that athleticism into his technique and skill. The Seahawks just an average pass rushing team last year, ranking 16th, middle of the pack. They have a few good young pieces in Boye Mafe and Bryon Murphy II, but their overall defensive line is aging. Scourton gives them a pure pass rusher that should slot nicely next to the young guys and Leonard Williams.

This draft is completely defensive heavy, and a lot of these picks will definitely be hit or miss. That being said, their is a lot of hidden talent, and a boat load of guys with high potential. With the right system, a lot of these guys will succeed in the league. Thanks for reading!
